Jason Channels, REHS and MFRPS Coordinator/Program Adminstrator for the Ohio Department of Agriculture Division of Food Safety, is a native of Springfield, OH where he still resides with his wife of 24 years, Teresa, and his two sons, Jason II, and Justus. He is a 1996 graduate of Central State University in Wilberforce, OH, with a B.S. degree in Water Resource Management. He has now worked within food safety programs for a total of 19 years, beginning his career as an Environmental Health Specialist for the Clark County Combined Health District before joining the Ohio Department of Agriculture as a Food Safety Specialist in 2008. He currently serves as the MFRPS Coordinator and Program Administrator for the Ohio Department of Agriculture. He also serves as an OH representative to the board of NCAFDO, and a MFRPS technical advisor to the MFRPA board. In his spare time, he enjoys taking long walks with his wife, watching football and basketball with his sons, reading a good book, listening to music, and playing with his dog, Titan.
