Sasha Noble is a Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry dual-degree student at Binghamton University. As a research assistant in the Swierk Group, she investigates the composition and photochemistry of commercial tattoo inks, as well as the mechanical dynamics of tattooing. Her work on REACH-compliant blue and green inks has been published in Analyst (Royal Society of Chemistry), and her latest study, “Is Tattooing an Injection? Evaluating the Mechanics of Ink Placement,” is under review in Acta Biomaterialia. At this conference, she will present findings on pigment migration mechanics and photochemical insights into tattoo removal.
