Raquel Parra, MPH, RS - Sr Manager, Food Safety & Quality Assurance for Whataburger Restaurants.
Raquel holds a Master's degreen in Public Health in Environmental Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Her career began with hands-on training alongside US Public Health Service Environmental Health Officers at the Indian Health Center in the Tucson, Arizona area, followed by roles as a Sanitarian for both the City of Dallas and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), focusing on Retail and Manufactured Foods, respectively. While at DSHS, she also served as a compliance officer, deepening her expertise in regulatory enforcement. Transitioning to the private sector, Raquel has spent nearly six years at Whataburger Restaurants, where she currently leads the Restaurant segment of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team. In this role, she supports Operations and champions the development of a strong food safety culture across all restaurants, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
