Tim Hurst, MPH, CPM, R.E.H.S., R.S.

Tim Hurst processes a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation Biology from Arizona State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Arizona. During his 27-year tenure with the Maricopa County, he spent several years as a district Environmental Health Specialist performing field inspections at both food and non-food facilities. He then served as an EHS Training Officer where he trained new and existing staff on various public health topics as well as provided training to industry. Tim currently serves as an Environmental Health Supervisor for one of the department’s regional offices.

Tim is one of the main liaisons for his department’s participation in the FDA’s Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards. He also was involved in the development of an FDA grant funded project to develop an online active managerial control resource for the food service industry to use called the Active Managerial Control Toolbox which he will be introducing in today’s session.
