Jeffrey Nassif currently holds the position of the Director of Food Safety, Regulatory and Audits for PepsiCo Beverages North America, where he has led all North American Food Safety initiatives since 2019. Jeff is a subject matter expert in food safety with over 16 years of experience with food safety management systems, sanitation, emerging regulations and food microbiology. Before that, he earned a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina and a Master's in Food Science from the University of Florida, where he focused on studying the growth curve of foodborne pathogens. From there, Jeff started his food industry career as a sanitation leader in the Ready to Eat / Fresh Cut produce industry, then moved to an increased scope at a dual Jurisdiction (USDA / FDA) regulated facility (produce RTE / prepared amenable meat products). Utilizing his experience, education, and passion for food safety and quality within the RTE industry, Jeff continued his career in the beverage industry, obtaining increasingly senior leadership positions, from manufacturing facility to corporate governance roles, where he expanded his experience in North American regulations and food safety management systems. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys traveling and exploring new restaurants with his wife and daughter (2.5 years old). He also loves the art of grilling and barbequing, where he frequently experiments with his own recipes of marinades and flavors.
